Lorraine R. Cameron

Lorraine R. "Cookie" Cameron, 75 of West Carrollton, OH passed away on Friday November 12th, 2021 at Sycamore hospital in Miamisburg, OH. She was born on August 3rd, 1946 in Scranton, PA to the late Anthony and Lorraine Gach. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her in-laws Carl and Vi Cameron, formerly of Danville, PA as well as her sister-in-law Carol Buck and numerous aunts and uncles.

Cookie is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Carl Cameron, two daughters, Carla Cameron of Springboro, OH and Lynne (Matthew) Fluharty of Middletown, OH, five grandchildren-Rachel, Brandon, Madilyne, Katie and Connor, sister Darlene (Bob) Notari, brother Tony Gach and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

She graduated from the Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing with a diploma in nursing in 1966. During her career as an RN, Cookie was employed by Moses Taylor Hospital in Scranton, PA, Williamsport Hospital, and spent time in Germany working as a nurse while her husband served in the army. Most recently, she worked in long term care, working for Kramm's in Milton in addition to the Selinsgrove Center in intermediate care. She retired from the state of Pennsylvania and relocated to Ohio to be near her daughters. Cookie enjoyed cooking, gambling, following the news and spending time with her grandchildren who were so important to her. She was well loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
