Lorna Jean Boggs

Lorna Jean Boggs, age 94, of Beavercreek, passed away on October 20, 2023. She was born on December 17, 1928 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Halford and Dollie Rudy.

She was an amazing cook, and she made a wonderful bacon gravy & biscuits. She also loved animals and allowed her children to keep the many strays they brought home. She was a loving mother and grandmother, and she loved hard and fully. Love is a verb and Lorna Jean demonstrated it daily. She would do anything for her friends and family, and she will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, Lorna Jean was preceded in death by her siblings: Elmo Rudy, William Rudy and Betsy Rudy Heusinger.

Her memory will be cherished by her children: Edward Boggs (Char), Michael Boggs (Connie), Lorinda Boggs Mueller (David), Patricia Boggs and Barry Boggs (Sharry); grandchildren: Alicia, Rachel, Maria, Courtney, Aubrey, Timothy, David, Jennifer, and Holly; and numerous great-grandchildren, extended family and friends.

A visitation will be held from 12:30pm to 1:30pm on Wednesday, October 25, 2023 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, in Dayton, where her funeral service will begin at 1:30pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery.
