Lori S. McDermott, age 53 of Riverside, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2017 . She was born September 17, 1964 in Dayton, Ohio the daughter of William and Rebecca Bayes.
Lori attended Stebbins High School. She was employed at Universal Credit Union for numerous years. She enjoyed all outdoor activities and had a great love of music. Lori loved and took care of many different types of animals at her home. She nurtured and cared for many of her close friends and family and anyone in need of help. Lori was a loving wife and daughter, an excellent mother and a great friend who will be dearly missed by all who's lives she has touched.
She is preceded in death by her father, William Bayes.
Lori will be missed by her loving mother, Rebecca Bayes; husband, Steve McDermott; son, Anthony Gerlaugh; two sisters, Debbie (Ashley) Bayes and Lisa Bayes; nieces, nephews and many close friends.
Family will receive friends Friday, December 8, 2017 from 12:30 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:30 p.m. at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd., Dayton. Burial to follow at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
