Lorene Hyden

Lorene Alice (Baker) Hyden died on Monday, October 2, 2006 at DayView Care Center in New Carlisle, OH. She was a longtime resident of New Carlisle, living at the corner of Edgebrook and Zimmerman for 40 years. Lorene was born in Holton, IN in 1917, the oldest daughter of Elzina (Smith) and Fred Baker. She lived her younger years in northern Kentucky and eastern Indiana. Lorene was married to Paul L. Hyden in 1942. She was dearly loved by her surviving seven children, their wives and husbands, 17 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, and many friends. She is also survived by two sisters, June Wehner of KY and Norma Luman of FL. Lorene was preceded in death by her parents, her younger brother Charles, her brother Raymond and her husband Paul. Her dear and faithful friend Francis Evans also preceded her in death. Services will be held 11:00AM Thursday, October 5, 2006 at the New Carlisle Church of the Brethren, 219 N. Main St., New Carlisle. Visitation will be from 10:00AM until time of services. Burial will follow at New Carlisle Cemetery.
