VOLK, Lorena "Jo", was born August 12, 1921 and passed away on October 12, 2012 peacefully of natural causes. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edward S. Volk, Sr.; daughter, Kathleen Rapp; brothers, Ivan and Edward Clutter; grandson, Timothy Evans; son-in-law, Ralph Trimborn; and step-daughter, Beverly Bishop. She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Trimborn; son, Edward S. (Bev) Volk, Jr.; grandchildren, Sherri (Lon) Richardson, Jody Evans, Mindy Pohlabeln, Tammy Trent and Tay Davis; 10 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren. Beloved nieces and nephews of the Clutter and Volk families as well as her extended Trimborn family. Born in North Kenova, Ohio she moved with her family to Dayton, Ohio, in 1943. She worked at Standard Thompson for many years, and then opened her own business with her daughter. When she was 69, she took on another new career working for Panic Distributing Company working into her late 70's. She was a member of VFW Post 8312 and the American Legion 763. Her family has been so blessed to have her for as long as they did. She has been a mother, friend and companion to anyone in need. Her family wishes to thank all her friends and family who came to be with her and the wonderful staff at Hospice. She loved to dance with the love of her life, her buckaroo, and is now at peace and happy that she has rejoined him. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton. Burial will follow in Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery.
