Lora Lee Barker, age 74, of Dayton, went to be with the Lord on May 28, 2024.
Preceded in death by her parents, Reverend Charles and Edith Lovely; sister, Crystal Wilson; and her grandson, Samuel Walters.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Timothy S. Barker; sister, Anita (Terry)Hicks; daughters, Audrey (Richard) Leonard and Natalie (Tony) Walters; grandchildren, Abbie Walters, Nathaniel Leonard, Charlie Leonard, Brayden Walters; great-granddaughter, Gracie Walters; nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
Lora graduated from Franklin High School, Class of 1968. She worked at General Motors, Delco Products for seven years and then worked at East Dayton Christian Schools for 25 years. Lora held her ministers license through the Church of God in Cleveland, Tennessee and the Mountain Assembly. She is a current member of the Living Word Church in Vandalia, where she attended Bible Study. Lora served in the food pantry at Evangel Church of God for ten years.
In her free time, Lora enjoyed reading her bible and praying. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, whom she was very dedicated to. Lora loved to attend their school sporting events.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dayton Dream Center (2720 E 3rd St, Dayton, OH 45403).
Visitation will be held from 10:00am-11:00am on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek), where funeral services will begin at 11:00am.
