Lonza "Phil" Parsons
Age 61 of Riverside, passed away, in his home, Thursday April 2, 2009. He was born on April 27, 1947 in New London, Ohio. He was the son of the late Malcolm and Ethel Parsons and preceded in death by his brother, Arthur and sister, Ossie Dean. Phil was retired from RTA and was a US Army Veteran serving in the Vietnam War. He received a bronze star for his service. He is survived by his three families; his natural family, his Veteran family, and his RTA family. Survivors include his brother Malcolm & wife Kim Parsons, daughter Natalie Moore & husband Jeremy Moore, son Sean Parsons & wife Christina Parsons, and 2 grandchildren, Miranda Moore & Cassidy Parsons and beloved friends and coworkers of RTA ATU Local 1385. He will be dearly missed by numerous family, friends, and hundreds of others he touched through the years.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday April 10, 2009 from 4-7 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Rd. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the family at PO BOX 4676 Arizona City, AZ 85223. Contributions will be donated to Phil's favorite charities.
