BLALOCK, Lonnie "Gene" E., Sr Age 78 passed away Monday March 26, 2007 at Liberty Retirement Community. He was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee to the late Lonnie and Edna (Trisdall) Blaylock. He served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict as a radar specialist and was awarded 2 bronze stars. He owned his own TV repair business for many years. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and Church of the Cross. He is survived by his loving wife Janet of 29 years and son Lonnie Eugene (Josie) Blalock of Dayton and three step children Lori (Steve) Gray of Kettering, Scott (Marilyn) KiddIe of West Virginia and Jeff (patti) KiddIe of Germantown. He also was a beloved grandfather to 10 grandchildren: Eric KiddIe of Florida, Juli (Charles) Foley, Andrew (Jackie) KiddIe and Sarah KiddIe of Virginia, Curtis and Jeremy Gray of Kettering, Jason, Ben, Jeffrey and Paul KiddIe of Germantown and a great granddaughter Adrianna of Virginia. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sister, Virginia. He is also survived by two brothers, John (Marcella) of Florida and Billy (Viva) Blaylock of Indiana and sister Sandra Kemmer of Kettering. Celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 31, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel with visitation an hour before. Pastor John Whitaker will officiate. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, Inc.
