Lonnie V. Bentley, age 73 of New Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2018. He was born April 22, 1945 in Neon, Kentucky the son of Daniel and Verna Bentley.
Lonnie was a gospel preacher at the time of his passing. He retired from Chrysler. Lonnie enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, oil painting and fishing.
In addition to his parents, Lonnie was preceded in death by his siblings, Dwight Bentley, Jimmy Wayne Bentley, Dennis Bentley and Joyce Forsythe.
Lonnie will be missed by his loving wife of 50 years, Linda; two sons, Phillip (Connie) Bentley and Aaron (Holly) Bentley; grandchildren, Travis Bentley, Cole Bentley, Sidney Bentley and Cecelia Bentley; siblings, Lois Sanders, Doris Bradley, Karen Ramey and Bill Bentley; many nieces and nephews and several brothers and sisters in Christ.
Family will receive friends Saturday, July 28, 2018 from 9 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Church of Christ, 6170 S. Scarff Rd. (corner of Scarff and Rt. 571), New Carlisle, Ohio, officiated by Joe Fox, Beattyville, KY. Burial to immediately follow the service at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens.
