Lonnie Ray Baker, age 70, of Dayton, passed away on September 30, 2021. He was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, on October 15, 1950, the son of the late Lawrence and Bernice Baker.
He is survived by his loving wife, Ima Fay Baker his dear children, Daniel (Kyley "Tilley") Baker and Tonya Meredith; grandchildren, Justin Thomas Moore, April Jacklyn Moore, Daniel Ray Baker, Jr., Morgan Baker, Jordan Fay Baker, Jade Lynn Baker and soon-to-be, Beau Baker; great grandchildren, Rylin Peiffer and Zoey Hatmaker; and siblings, Diane Lewis, Janice Baker, Patty Puckett, and the late Eddie Baker.
Lonnie was a very hard working man and was lovingly known by many as "The Crazy Man in the Red Chevy Truck". He was a proud member of the Pentecostal Apostolic Church for many years, where he was the "Caretaker of the Pop Machine". In his free time, he enjoyed praying, scrapping metal and leaving long voicemails.
Visitation will be held from 11:00am-12:00pm, on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at Pentecostal Apostolic Church, 4927 Wildrose Drive, Dayton, where Funeral Services will begin at 12:00pm with Brother Jeremy Matheny officiating. Burial will follow at Dayton Memorial Park.
