Lonie Marie Powers

Lonie "Marie" Powers, age 86 of Xenia, OH passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Elm Croft of Fairborn. She was born January 18, 1932 in Anco, KY to Denver Fields and Mary "Lena" Beverly. Marie married Ray B. Powers in August of 1976 in Dayton, OH and she passed the same day as Ray at Elmcroft.

Marie retired from General Motors Harrison Radiator Plant where she was a Gauge Control Inspector for many years. She raised and bred dairy goats, was a member of ODGA, traveled to many venues showing her goats competitively, and earned many awards and trophies over the years. She was an avid dancer and had a love of the outdoors and gardening. She loved her family dearly, especially the grandkids and will be missed by all.

Marie is survived by her children, Patricia (Dallas) Brock, Ronald (Keiko) Combs, Thomas (Kenda Davis) Combs and Paul (Nancy) Combs; Ray's children, Gail (David) Hatfield and Robbie (Rhonda) Powers; 16 grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas (Bonnie), John (Brenda), Rick (Kim) and Jack Kelley (Kelly); sisters, Pauline (Ellis) Moore, Millie Taylor, Mary (Dan) Connor and Jackie Key; and other family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents; sons Harold and Robert Combs; brothers, Palmer and Hank Kelly; sister, Martha Gardner; a grandson, Zak Brock.

A Funeral Service for Marie and Ray will be held on February 5, 2018 at 11:00 am at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions - Beavercreek Chapel, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Rd., Beavercreek, Ohio 45432. Visitation for both will be held one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Beaver Cemetery, Beavercreek, OH.
