Lona Combs

COMBS, Lona J., born in Winchester, Clark County, Kentucky on June 30, 1921. She passed away unexpectedly at Miami Valley Hospital on August 25, 2004. She was proceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Winfred "Wink" Combs. She leaves behind her devoted daughter, Brenda and her husband Dennis Niekamp, her son Larry and his wife Olga, and Larry's children, Teresa and husband John Herndon and great-grandchildren Jessica and Jacqueline Herndon, Holly and Jason Boehmer, Ryan Combs and his daughter, Alexis. She will also be missed by her close friends, Wyona, Janie and Lorene and a host of friends at Bethany Church of Christ. She retired from Ledex Corp. in 1988 after 22 years of service. Funeral services will be held at 12:00noon Friday, August 27, 2004 at the chapel at Miami Valley Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00AM until the time of services at the chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Dave Ladd. Arrangements entrusted to Newcomer Farley Funeral Home, Kettering, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethany Church of Christ or the charity of donor's choice. We love you mommy and give our love to "Wink" when you get to Heaven.
