Lois A. Wieland, age 90, of Dayton, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, August 5, 2017.
Lois was born on April 30, 1927 in Hibbing, MN to the late Paul & Clara Cheever. She attended Hibbing H.S. and completed RN training through the Cadet Corp, at what is now known as the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN.
Lois was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Edgar Wieland; brothers, Howard and Bob Cheever; and sister, Shirley Strauser.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Paula Collins; grandson, Jon (Carol) Tipton; great-grandchildren, Nathan (Brianna) Tipton, Alex (Shianne) Barker, Tori Tipton and Allyson Tipton; special friend, Roy Brower; and one great-great-grandson on the way. She is loved and will be missed.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11am at David's Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband, Edgar.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Hospice (8069 Washington Village Dr, Dayton, OH 45458).
