Lois Regina Taylor, a cherished soul born on June 19, 1940, in Hamilton, Ohio, peacefully departed this world on February 17, 2025, after being given last rites at Eagle Creek Nursing Center. Her life was beautiful tapestry of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories that touched everyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Lois was a proud graduate of Notre Dame High School, class of 1958, and she built a notable career that included roles at Hamilton Gravel Company, Twin Fair, and St. Stephen Catholic Church in Hamilton. Her dedication shone brightest as a regional sales manager at Lloyd's Christmas around the World, where her passion for her work radiated through to her clients and colleagues alike.
Much beloved by her family, Lois was known for her incredible sense of humor and caring nature. The life of every gathering, she approached each moment with a bubbly spirit that reminded those around her of the joys of life. From riding horses through the Garden of Gods in Colorado with her daughter Tina to sharing the dance floor with friends to lively polka music, Lois embraced every opportunity to celebrate and connect with others. Her vibrant personality was complemented by her creative spirit, as evidenced by the many paintings her family treasures—a lasting reminder of her artistic talent.
Lois took immense pride in her family, who were not just her greatest joy, but also her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her devoted daughter, Tina (Steven Kraft) Barnhorn of Manchester, Ohio, loving grandson, Chris (Jenee) Hibbard of Ashland, Kentucky and step daughter Tammy (Gary) Hurd.
Lois was preceded in death by her first husband and the love of her life, Johnny Hibbard, and her second husband, Lee Taylor, her parents, Clarence N. and Mathilda K. Rommel, her brothers Richard (Helen) Rommel and James (Phyllis) Rommel, her sisters Agnes Lucille (James) Willey, Clara Dolores (Robert) Meyer, and Patricia (Paul) Stone, and her cherished niece and nephews, including Regina Parnitzke, WM. Wayne Rommel, James Willey, David Stone, Kevin Rommel and Stephen Munoz.
In every laughter shared, in every dance twirled, and in every brushstroke of her paintings, Lois Regina Taylor will forever remain in the hearts and minds of those she loved and who loved her. Her legacy of joy and creativity will continue to inspire her family and friends, reminding them all to celebrate life as she so beautifully did.
Mass of Christian Burial will be scheduled at Our Lady of Sorrows Church (330 Lebanon St, Monroe, OH 45050) on a future date. Please check back for updates. She will be laid to rest next to her parents at St. Stephen Cemetery in Hamilton, Ohio.
