Lois W. Sigler

Lois W. Sigler age 94, of Middletown, Ohio passed away peacefully on October 29, 2018. Lois was born in Jasonville, Indiana on March 31, 1924. She was the daughter of Paul and Thelma Ruth Wilkes.
Among Lois' academic achievements was placing #1 in Latin language competition in the state of Indiana two separate years in high school. Later during her working life, Lois retired from Armco Steel after 35 years of service.
The central theme of her life was her fervent belief and faith in God. In her spare time, Lois enjoyed stitchery and sewing. Along with her faith in God, Lois' true love was being with her family and especially babysitting for her grandchildren.
Lois was a "survivor", having the persistence to never give up. Overcoming the loss of her husband and placing her 4 children in an orphanage for 4 years, she went to work to rebuild her family. She was a fighter to the very end.
Lois is survived by her loving sons, Jerry L. (Sharon) Sigler of Springboro, Jim (Karen) Sigler of St. Joseph, MI, Jon R. (Alice) Sigler of Santa Rosa, CA and Arthur E. (Donna) Sigler of Atoka, TN; 2 granddaughters, Melinda Farrington and Michelle Sigler; and 2 grandsons, Jeremy and Sean Paul Sigler.
A visitation will be held from 12:00pm - 1:00pm on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, OH. Burial will immediately follow at the Union Evangelical Cemetery, 10991 Snyder Church Rd NW, Baltimore, OH 43105.
