Lois Hoskins

Lois Hoskins, 81, of Kettering, Ohio was called home to the arms of Jesus, her Savior and Lord on December 10, 2022. Lois was born on March 12, 1941 in Vinton County, Ohio to the late Ralph and Esther (Clements) Dozer.

Lois had a passion for sewing and quilting. She was a long-time member of Fairmont Baptist Church in Kettering and most recently attended Morningstar Baptist Church in Centerville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Robert Hutt; her second husband, Wheeler Hoskins and her sister, Naomi Porschet.

Lois is survived by her sister, Phyllis (Pete) Thompson; her children, Ron (Dee) Hutt, Joyce (Steve) Parmley, Bill (Susan) Hoskins and Karen (Matt) Grote; grandchildren, Zoe Parmley, Lexi Parmley, Charles (Kelly) Hoskins, Doug (Christina) Hoskins, Michael (Megan) Sullivan, and Megan Grote, as well as 4 great grandchildren. She is also survived by her best friend and companion, Don Bratton.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am to 11:00 am Friday, December 16, 2022 with a funeral service following at 11:00 am at Newcomer Funeral Home – Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Kettering, OH 45439.

Burial will follow at Bearcreek Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton.
