Lois Charlene Holton, age 91 of Dayton passed away peacefully on July 1, 2018. Lois was born in Harriman, Tennessee to the late James and Clemmie Moore. Lois worked for many years at NCR, where she met the love of her life, Ivan Holton. They married in 1970 and lived in Spring Valley, where she worked as a cook at Quaker Heights Nursing Home.
In her free time, Lois enjoyed doing puzzles and word searches. She was a skilled crafter and loved to crochet, embroider, and sew items for her beloved family. In her younger years, Lois and Ivan enjoyed spending peaceful afternoons fishing. Lois was a loving, caring, and compassionate sister, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Lois was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Holton; and many brothers and sisters.
Lois leaves to cherish her memory, loving sister, Margaret (Cotton) Price, Mildred Wendling, and Carol Moore; special nieces, Cristal (Larry) Fillers and Kim Hetzer; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, July 5, 2018 from 5pm-8pm at Newcomer - North Chapel. Funeral service to take place the following day, Friday, July 6, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home at 11am. Burial to follow at Spring Valley Cemetery, Spring Valley, Ohio.
