FISHER, Lois J. "Grammy", age 66, of Moraine passed away Wednesday February 22, 2006 at Hospice of Dayton after a long battle with breast cancer. Cancer won a battle, but God won the war! She was born in Rockholds, KY on March 14, 1939 to Josh E. and Nannie (Morton) Powers. Lois is survived by her husband of 39 years, Glen; daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Mark Moore; grandson, Taylor; granddaughter , Lauren; sister , Thelma Reeves and Nadine Kirby; brother, Homer Powers, sisters-in-law, Lois Powers, Arlene Powers, Stella Leach, Thelma Fisher, Kay Fisher; brothers-in-law Kenneth Leach, James Fisher, and Randy Fisher; and a host of nephews and nieces.She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Jerry and Mossie Fisher; brothers, Luther, Cecil, Herbert, and ArthurPowers; sister-in-law, Georgia and Bonnie Powers; brother-in-law, Roy Reeves and Charles Kirby. She was very active in her church, Miami Shores Baptist, and as a member of Vacation Bible School Assist Team for the state association of Baptists in Ohio. Her love for children, and her desire that they might come to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior has taken her all over Ohio, and into serveral other states, to assist churches and teachers in thier Sunday School and VBS efforts to reach preschoolers for Christ. The extent of her impact will only be known in heaven. Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM Monday, February 27, 2006 at Miami Shores Baptist Church, 4000 Vance Rd. Pastor Doug Surber will be officiating. Viewing will be at the church from 3-6 PM Sunday, February 26, 2006.
