Lois Ellis

Lois Ellis, age 69 of Vandalia, passed away December 11, 2016. She was born May 21, 1947 in Hyden, KY. Lois was preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Adkins; husband, Robert Ellis; sons: Robert Jaynes, Jr. and Terry Jaynes; and brothers: Willard Shepherd and Arthur Hensley. Lois walked through Heaven's gates with her loving granddaughter, Gabby Ellis.

Lois is survived by her lifelong best friend, Robert Jaynes; children: Felicia (Jonathon, Sr.) White, Brian Jaynes, Michael Ellis, Matt Ellis and Todd (Jessica) Ellis; grandchildren: Jessica McCubbin, Tyler Jaynes, Bailey Jaynes, Jonathon White, Jr., Caelee Ellis, Alivia Ellis and Gavin Ellis; sisters: Lola Morgan, Freda Watring and Linda Sampson; brothers: Larry Shepherd and Lathey Adkins; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lois was a devoted mother and grandmother; she loved her family unconditionally. She was a kindhearted, generous woman who was loved by all who knew her.

Visitation will be held from 10 am - 12 pm on Friday, December 16, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road where the funeral service will begin at 12 pm. Pastor Matt Harbour officiating. Burial to follow at Riverside Cemetery, Troy.
