Lois M. Clingman

Lois M. (McCarty) Clingman, age 86, of Kettering, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ralph and Erma (Marshall) McCarty, her husband William Clingman, Jr., her sister Kathleen Adams and her best friend Pearlena Sanders.

Lois is survived by her daughter Patricia Clingman; and her niece Teresa Adams, along with other family and friends.

Lois was in the first graduating class from Patterson Co-Op High School in 1954. She worked at Sears Roebuck and Co. in downtown Dayton, retiring after more than 30 years. She later enjoyed working for the Dayton Metro Library for 15 years, beginning at the Miamisburg Branch and finishing at the Main Library.

Lois had a passionate interest in the art of William-Adolphe Bouguereau, and the music of Andrea Bocelli.

Thank you to the caring staff at One Lincoln Park where Lois resided for the last 12 years, along with Buckeye Home Health Care and the staff and volunteers at Hospice of Dayton.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 9, 2023 from 12:30 pm until time of service at 1:30 pm at Newcomer Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
