Lois J. Bogart

Lois Jeween Bogart, age 88, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away on May 25, 2023. She was born in Hazard, KY on March 18, 1935 to the late William and May Clay. In addition to her parents Lois was preceded in death by her sons: Jerry Hughes and Russell Hughes; and sister, Patricia Clay Tackett.

Lois is survived by her children: Michael Hughes, Jeffrey (Marcia) Hughes, and Shawna Bogart; grandchildren: Chasity, Leslie, Rachel, Jessica, Patricia, and Michael; great grandchildren: Samuel, Michael, Lydia, Violet, Cierra, Brooklyn, and Hudson; and many other family and friends.

Lois was a hard worker. She was a great country cook and was known for her macaroni salad. She also loved to dance. Lois was a good neighbor and had many friends around her neighborhood. She enjoyed sitting on the porch and visiting. Lois raised 5 children on her own and was an amazing mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She always stood up for her family and loved them fiercely.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
