Lois Ellen Abbott of Springfield, Ohio went to be with the Lord at 5:09 PM on Dec. 13th. She was born and raised in Kenvir, KY.

Family that preceded her in death are; parents, Spurgeon & Ethel Brewer; husband, Kenneth R. Abbott; son, Kenneth R. Abbott Jr.; 3 sisters, Juanita J. Wallace, Phyllis Andrews, & Anna Davis; brother, Carl Brewer and grandson, Joseph M. Purvis.

Survived by 3 children, DaRhonda Schwartzentruber of Springfield, Dianna (Rick) Cox of Springfield & Arlan (Marcia) of Missouri; daughter-in-law, Mary Abbott; 10 grandchildren, Jonathan, Jason, Janna, Jeremy, Rachel, Amy, Aaron, Dustin, Brandon and Katie; 3 sisters, Theda Bryant of Georgia, Sylvia Davidson of Ohio and Doris Hall of Ohio; brother, Ralph Brewer of Kentucky and 19 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews whom she loved dearly.

She loved helping anyone in need (caregiver). Her specialties were sewing & cooking, peanut butter fudge, chicken & dumplings, fried apple pies and bread pudding were just a few of her favorite to make for her family and friends.

Lois loved her Lord and her family.

She was saved at the age of 25. She sang glorious song of praise along with her husband. She was a member of the Church of God on Race St. in Springfield, OH. She was loved by all and will be missed. A special thanks to Community Mercy Hospital.

Visitation for family and friends will be held at Newcomer Centerville, 820 Miamisburg-Centerville Rd., Dayton, Ohio on Saturday from 9:30 AM-10:30 AM. Funeral service will be for immediate family only. A graveside committal will be held at Miami Valley Memory Gardens which are private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in care of the Church of God, 610 N. Race St., Springfield, OH 45504.
