Lloyd E. Smith, age 89 of Dayton, passed away December 23, 2018 at The Hospice of Dayton. He was born May 16, 1929 in Pike County, KY to the late Kelly and Mindy (Stanley) Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Ida Smith; step-daughter, Teresa Barker and step-son, Randy Byers.
Lloyd proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Air Force from 1951-1955. He worked and retired from Ledex (now Johnson Electric). Lloyd enjoyed golfing, shuffle boarding and was part of the Senior Olympics at Kettering Senior Center.
Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. A graveside service will begin at 10 AM on Friday, December 28 at Dayton Memorial Park Cemetery, 8135 N. Dixie Rd., Vandalia, OH 45414. A funeral procession will leave Newcomer at 9:45 AM to the cemetery.
