Lloyd Eugene Hoxie, age 99 of Kettering, passed away Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at Oak Creek Terrace. He was born May 30, 1921 in Battle Creek, Michigan, the son of Eugene and Gertrude Hoxie.
Lloyd proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was a WWII Veteran. He served for over 20 years in many roles, as a pilot, instructor pilot, and Civil Servant. He was a life member of the Association of Old Crows and the Daedalians. He was a devout member of Mary Help of Christians of Fairborn for 45 years and most recently of St. Charles of Borromeo of Kettering.
Lloyd especially loved traveling with his wife, Margie, making several trips overseas and many cross-country road trips to see the country. In his younger years, he enjoyed bowling and golfing. He also enjoyed watching football and baseball, especially the Bengals, the Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Reds.
He was preceded in death by his wife Margie Hoxie, his parents and three younger brothers.
Lloyd is survived by his two sons, Mark (Diane) Hoxie & Scott (Tracey) Hoxie; two daughters, Lynn (the late James) Crowe & Gayle (the late Carl) Buskuhl; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday February 15, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo church in Kettering. Burial will take place privately at Byron Cemetery.
