Lloyd R Behnken, age 73 of Xenia, passed away Monday, June 14, 2021. He was born January 20, 1948 in Dayton, Ohio, the son of Arnold and Nena Behnken.
They say that life is a journey, & no one loved to travel more than Lloyd. Whether it be a short trip to Tennessee to get his favorite JFG coffee, camping in the Jeep, to the waterfalls of North Carolina, a trip to Zanesville, a quick fishing trip, or just a drive to see where you end up, Lloyd was always game.
Lloyd loved his family. He travelled extensively and enjoyed helping those in need. He willingly shared his knowledge of cars, travel and various mechanical skills. It wasn't unusual to find him helping someone fix a car, or taking a friend to a junk yard in another county just to get a much needed part.
When his health began to fade, he still would get in his van and make his rounds to make sure his family and friends were ok. He is loved and missed by all.
Lloyd was employed at Monarch Marking for over 30 years as a laminator.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Perry (Joyce) Behnken.
Lloyd is survived by his wife, Darlene; children, Joanna (John II) Riley, Bethanie (Jon) Musgrove & Arnold Behnken; step daughters, Michelle (Charles) Hedger & Ranee (Asten) Nooks; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Isaiah, Avalinn, Anorah, Xavier, Jashawn, Arnae, Jonathan & Schuyler; great grandchild, Harley; sisters, Connie Thorp & Lillie (Tom) Thorp; nieces, Jenny Thorp, Kim (Sophia) Thorp-Sweitzer & Bridget (Chris) Roe; nephews, John (Cece) Thorp, Ken (Cindy) Thorp & Thomas (Beth ) Thorp, numerous great nieces & nephews, numerous cousins and the mother of his children, Sharon Behnken.
