Lisa Kay Thatcher Lawson, age 54, entered fully into the presence of the Lord on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 in Hospice of Dayton. She was born on May 18, 1969 to Kenneth Thatcher and Barbara Jane Laughlin Thatcher. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, niece, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Lisa spent her formative years in Elgin, Ohio, She graduated from Wayne High School in Huber Heights, Ohio. Later, she married Terry Lawson and worked at Leons Towing and later at Hollis Towing. Throughout her career, she was known for her hard work, dedication, and passion for helping others.
More than anything, Lisa was a devoted mother. She loved spending time with her children and grandson, sharing stories, playing games, stealing signs, and watching her favorite TV shows. She was always there to offer guidance, support, and encouragement, no matter what challenges they faced.
Lisa dedicated her life to her family and friends. Lisa was known for her concern and welfare of her family and many friends. She loved meeting people and knew no strangers. She was deeply respected by those who knew her. Even during the years she battled cancer, she never complained about her condition, but wanted others to know that she could endure it all because she knew God was in total control.
Lisa is survived by her husband Terry Lawson of Huber Heights, Ohio, her daughter Amanda Lynn Muth and husband Chris Muth of Fairborn, Ohio. Daughter Missy Lawson and son Ellis Clark of Huber heights, Ohio. Grandson Alexander Muth and granddaughter Kora Bolen. Her mother in law Elsie Lawson of Huber Heights Ohio and brother in law Richard Lawson and wife Heather Lawson, and multiple nieces and nephews. Her mother Barbara Jane Laughlin Thatcher, sister Caroline Sue Thatcher Menda and husband Mike Menda, and nephews Jacob and Matt Menda of Springfield, Ohio. Her aunt Judith Ann Gibson and husband Greg Gibson of fishers, Indiana. And many wonder cousins of Elgin, Ohio. Her uncle Mark laughlin of Greenfield, Indiana. And good friend Jenny Lowe and husband Greg Lowe of Huber Heights, Ohio. She was proceeded in death by her father Kenneth Thatcher, grandmother Sarah Jane Gough Laughlin and grandfather Charles Laughlin. And father in law Leon Lawson.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help cover medical expenses.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 5281 Bellefontaine Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. We will forever cherish the memories of Lisa's remarkable life and the impact she made on all those who knew her.
