Lisa Lee (Dare) Wilkins, age 59, of Dayton, passed away November 16, 2019.
She was born September 23, 1960 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Vernon Robert and Janet Irene (Kuns) Dare. Lisa was a 1979 graduate of Tippecanoe High School and attended Montgomery Co.JVS during high school. She also attended Wright State University. Lisa was a lifelong Cincinnati Reds fan as well as a NASCAR fan. She loved dancing and music, and she also enjoyed baking.
In addition to her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by her sister, Denise Daugherty. She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband of 40 years, Gregory L. Wilkins; daughters, Elizabeth (David) Ames, Janet (Jake) Schul, Amanda (Jason) Brown; 7 grandchildren, Jonathan, Cody, Riley, Kylie, Clara, Charlotte, Lilly; 2 sisters, Pamela Phelps, and Gail (Mike) Brown and many other family and friends.
A special thanks to daily caregiving staff, Debra McAlpine and Clarissa "Bitsy" Ross for the many years of caring and kindness, as well as the Heartland Hospice team: Melissa, Nancy, Candy, Brooke, Tisha, Carmen, Dusty, and Wanda.
To my sister, Barbara Moore, who many times over the last 13 years made a nearly 4 hour round trip to spend time with Lisa, and who never forgot her birthday. You are loved more than I can say.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 1:00pm until time of memorial service at 3:00pm on Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Newcomer, Kettering Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice in Lisa's memory.
