Lindsey James Morrell Sr., age 89, of Dayton, Sunrise January 18, 1921 Sunset August 13, 2010. He was born in Coatsville, PA to the late Lindsey and Amanda James. Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."Lindsey faithfully served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was an avid C.B. radio enthusiast and was widely known as the "Junkyard Dog" (J.Y.D.). Lindsey will now be together forever with those who preceded him in death his daughters, Geraldine and Lolita; brother, Robert; sisters, Bethanita, Willa Mae, Dorothy, and Virginia. He is survived by his former wife, Mildred Morrell, of Dayton, OH; children, Margaret Wilson, of Columbus, OH, Lucretia (Jimmie) Gamble, of Columbus, OH, Lindsey (Artheria) Morrell Jr., of Vallejo, CA, Donna M. (Marvin) Morrell-Pruitt, of Trotwood, OH, and Nathaniel (Dena) Morrell of Fulshear, TX; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews including, Thomas, Alice, Rose, Marty, Benita; and longtime friend, Rosie Boyd. II Timothy 4:7 "Be sad for me for only a short time. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith." The family will receive friends Thursday, August 19, 2010 from 5-6pm at Newcomer Funeral Home North Chapel (4104 Needmore Rd, Dayton, OH 45424). A memorial service will follow at 6pm.
