Linda S. Windle, born on September 18, 1945, in Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2025. A remarkable woman who embodied kindness and love, Linda was not only a devoted wife but also cherished her role as a mother and grandmother, with her grandchildren occupying a special place in her heart.

Linda was a proud graduate of Belmont High School. She shared many memorable moments filled with laughter alongside her husband of 59 years, Elden Windle. The couple built a life rich with shared experiences, travel, and cherished family gatherings that Linda meticulously planned and organized, always ensuring that the family bond was strengthened through time spent together.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Elden; daughter Jennifer (Scot) Rife; and grandchildren Kevin Rife (Christy Carson), Travis Rife, and Emma Rife. Linda also leaves behind her mother-in-law, Lucy Windle, who remained a vital part of her life, as well as dear friends Ruth Slaton, Kathy Hofele, and Irene Hardy. Throughout her life, Linda made a significant impact on many, including the close-nit Sunday School class her husband, Elden taught.

Linda is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Roberts, and her daughter, Stephanie Windle, both of whom she held in her heart until the very end.

A life defined by love, laughter, and cherished memories, Linda S. Windle will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of kindness and devotion to family will continue to inspire those she left behind.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 13, 2025 at First Baptist Church of Kettering, 3939 Swigart Road in Dayton. A service will begin at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial to follow at David's Cemetery, 4600 Mad River Road.
