Linda Rosemarie Thaxton

Linda Rosemarie Thaxton, 75 of Dayton, passed away on May the 7th of 2024 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on May the 26th of 1948 in Dayton, Ohio to Rosemarie Mann-Schaefer.

She is preceded in death by her son, Dean Burnside and mother, Rosemarie Mann-Schaefer.

Linda is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Eugene Thaxton; her son, Jerry Burnside; her grandchild, Kayla Flohre (Burnside/ and husband Todd Flohre); her great-grandchildren; Ruby and Noah Flohre, siblings; Richard Mann, Phyllis Harlow (Gary Harlow) and Pamela Mann-Spencer (Baron Spencer), and countless nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Linda is also survived by many other family and friends.

Linda worked for NCR for 15. After working she dedicated herself to family and friends. Linda enjoyed playing cards with her husband and siblings. She and Eugene loved to travel. They lived in Arizona for several years and she always said it was her favorite place. She was spunky and sarcastic to the fullest. She also made the best cinnamon rolls!! Linda will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A visitation will be held on May 26, 2024 from 11am to 12pm with services immediately following at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Rd. Dayton, OH 45424.
