Linda Sue Walters

Linda Sue Walters, age 77, of Fairborn, passed away September 6, 2024. Linda was born in Dayton, Ohio on May 12, 1947 to the late William and Mary Boyd.

Linda was preceded in death by her parents; longtime partner, Richard "Dick" Smith; siblings, Connie Elizabeth Boyd and Gary Miller.

She is survived by son, Guy (Anna) Zachary Karns; daughter, Stacy (Darrell) Mason; son, Perry Karns; step-children, Laura Lee Ratliff, Sherri Hocter and Richard Dean Smith; grandchildren, Jessica Mason, Keith Mason, Brittney Davis, Erin Gregory, Tyler Karns, Cameron Karns, Devlin Calley, Kayla Walker, Abbi Walker, Elicia Tudor; many great-grandchildren; close friends, Bernice Jennings, Vince and Nicki Bakle and Lily; as well as many other friends and extended family.

Linda worked at WPAFB Lodging until she no longer could. In her free time, she enjoyed traveling, gambling and spending time with friends and family.

Linda was a great mother and loved by all who knew her. She was very giving. 

The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Hospice of Dayton for their care.

There will be a Celebration of Life held at 1:00pm on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at South Fairborn Baptist Church (1642 Superior Ave, Fairborn) with Pastor David Sturey officiating. Reception to follow at the church.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Dayton (324 Wilmington Ave, Dayton) or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (501 St. Jude Pl., Memphis TN 38105).
