Linda Rae Jones

Linda Rae Jones, 79, passed peacefully at Cypress Pointe Living Center in Englewood, Ohio Sunday, September 15, 2024 surrounded by love and family. Linda was born in Piqua, OH on February 27, 1945.

Linda was a 1963 Piqua Central High School graduate and attended Dayton School of Practical Nursing where she received her nursing degree. She was an LPN and retired from Good Samaritan Hospital after 30+ years of service.

Linda was a member of Salem Church of God and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Linda was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Jones; parents Roy and Imogene Shawler and her brother, David Shawler.

She is survived by her children Jennifer (Chris) Kurylowich, and Jason Hyre; 5 grandchildren, Ryan, Cody, Evelyn, Coy and Luke; her sisters, Judy, Margaret and Connie.

A visitation will be held from 2:00pm to 3:00pm on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Newcomer Funeral Home - North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, OH where the funeral service will begin at 3:00pm. She will be laid to rest at Polk Grove Cemetery at a later date.

Donations in Linda's memory may be made to Hospice of Dayton.

Linda's optimism and appreciation for family will be carried on forever in the hearts of all of those she touched.
