Linda Mae Parrish

January 6, 1937 — May 2, 2022

Linda Mae Parrish, 85, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2022. Loving mother of Marcie (Brad) Breese, Tricia Parrish Powers, CeeCee (Jim) Collins, Cari (Patrick) Higgins and Serena (Jeremy) Thompson, adored grandmother Cassie Higgins, Jordan Powers, Kelsey Powers, Alexis Breese, TJ Higgins, Jesse Powers, Morgan Collins, Drew Breese, Cameron Collins, Nate Higgins, Cal Collins, Kari Powers, Max Thompson, Sam Thompson and John-Michael Higgins, beloved great grandmother of Josie Pena, Kennedy Higgins and Emilia Pena.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James E. Parrish, parents Raymond and Margaret Andrews, and her sister Rama Jean Seas.

Linda's pride and joy were her 5 daughters and her grandchildren. She was very involved in their schooling including being the PTO president of both Valley Elementary and St. Luke's Catholic School. She also coached the swim team at Carroll High School for more than 10 years and was actively involved at Woodhaven Swim Club.

Linda had southern roots and they were reflected in her cooking skills, especially her baking. She also enjoyed gardening, flowers and traveling, once taking a trip with Jim up the east coast visiting multiple lighthouses along the way.

She was a very social person and although her home was always open to family and friends her favorite hangouts were with her RAPP family and University of Dayton basketball games. She bled red and blue. Go Flyers!! Her smile and her laugh were contagious. She never met a stranger. She will be missed by so many.

Public visitation will be held at St. Luke's Catholic Church (1440 N Fairfield Rd, Beavercreek, OH 45432) at 9:30 am with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 10:30am. Linda will be laid to rest next to her husband Jim at Calvary Cemetery. Memorial donations can be made in Linda's honor to Day City Hospice (https://www.daycityhospice.com/donate/) and Xenia YMCA (https://www.daytonymca.org/online-giving)
