Linda Lee Evans, age 79 of Bethel Township, passed away at her residence on May 14, 2024. She was born July 30, 1944 in Dayton, Ohio daughter of the late Richard and Betty Paxton.
Linda was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a faithful and dedicated member of the First Church of the Open Bible. She loved God fiercely, served faithfully, and cared for others unconditionally. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, as well as her church family and friends. Linda was the consummate caregiver, taking care of those around her. Linda never knew a stranger and always had a kind word for everyone. She loved working out in her flower beds and taking her beloved dog, Bailey out on car rides. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Willie Evans; and brother, Tom Paxton.
Linda is survived by her children, Garrett (Jenny) Evans, Barbara (Jason) Risner, and Sandra (Tim) Williams; grandchildren, Jacob, Jared, and Emma Evans: Alainee, Natalee, Jackson, and Aubree Risner: Shannon (Derick) Coleman, Heather (Rhyan) Ashbaugh, and T.J. Williams; several great grandchildren; brothers, Doug (Carol) Paxton, Gary Paxton, Jeff (Sheryl) Paxton, and Craig Paxton; as well as numerous other family members and friends.
A visitation will be held on Monday, May 20, 2024 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at the First Church of Open Bible, 4990 Old Troy Pike, Dayton, Oh 45424.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at 11am at the First Church of Open Bible with Pastor Gary Petersen officiating. Burial will follow at Maple Hill Cemetery in Tipp City, Ohio.
