Linda Susan Johnson

Linda Susan Johnson, 74, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2023. Loving mother of Tina Hartings and Dr. Russell (Mary) Johnson, cherished grandmother of Dr. Brien (Allison) Hartings, Brad Hartings, Mackenzie Hartings, Jackie Novotony, Levi Johnson and Charlie Johnson, adored great grandmother of Lucas Hartings, Jacob Hartings and Elise Hartings, adored sister of Judy Blanchard, Steve Cook, Kathy (Dave) Herzog and Melissa (Rob) Huelsman. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Linda was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, James R. Johnson, her parents Roy and Lucille Cook, her brother Butch Cook Jr. and nephew Jeff Herzog.

Linda was a true mother figure for all that knew her. She assisted in raising her siblings, Children, grandchildren and when needed, her husband. She enjoyed engraving, scrap booking, embroidering but most importantly spending time with her family. She would take them on car rides, trips, sporting events and dance competitions.

Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton - Xenia Rd.) on Monday January 23, 2023 at 10:00 am with funeral service to start at 11:00 am. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Bellbrook Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to the family to assist in the funeral cost.
