Linda Marlene Johnson (Peltz), 83, passed away 1 June 2023 at 0320 at Wickshire Senior Living community in Fairborn, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Arlen Johnson, Father Ezra Oscar Peltz and Mother Bonnie Jeanette Peltz. She was also preceded by Eddie Kinsey (Connie's husband), & niece Dawn Marie Leonard (Sister Sandi's Daughter).
Linda has one sister, Sandi Leonard (Husband John). They gave her one nephew John Scott Leonard, and two nieces, Pame Bowlsby (Husband Matt) and Dawn Leonard (preceded in death).
Linda has a daughter and two sons; Connie, Todd (Wife Faith) and Scott (Wife Dorie Schoonover). They have provided four grandchildren & five Great grandchildren between them for Linda's pleasure; Connie's daughter Kristi Batin (Husband Tony) provided Linda a great-granddaughter, Emily Batin & a grandson Nick (serving in the Army); Todd's daughter Nikki provided Cherish Jackson, Todd's daughter Angel gave Faith, Hope & Valkyrie and Scott (Wife Dorie) gave Teddy, step-grandson.
She was an avid Christian and served the North Huber Heights Christian Church among many others. She raised her children in Church perpetuating Faith & love of Christ through to the great grandchildren.
Linda was a published Author of two books; "Stepping Stones of Faith" & "Is This All There Is?" She was writing a third until her health hindered her abilities.
Linda was a graduate of Beavercreek H.S. She worked at Wright Patterson AFB until she retired with her husband Robert Arlen who also retired from Wright-Patterson AFB. Upon retirement they went to Sun-City West Arizona to enjoy life. Shortly after the loss of her dear husband Bob, Linda had a stroke. Having difficulty with activities of daily life, Connie & Todd took care of her, seeing to her needs until she left for the Lord.
Public visitation will be held at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton Xenia Rd) on Friday June 9, 2023 at 11:30 am with funeral service to follow at 1:00 pm. Following the service, she will be laid to rest simultaneously with her husband Robert at Mt. Zion Park Cemetery. There will be formal military honors as Robert was a retired military veteran of two wars.
