Linda Lee Ramby Hendricks, age 74, of Englewood, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2023. She was born in Dayton on June 6, 1949 to the late Lee and Eileen Ramby. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth Ramby.
Linda is survived by her son Jeramie (Kimberly) Hendricks; grandchildren: Connor Hendricks and Cameron Hendricks; sister, Evelyn Ramby Gore; uncle, David Allen; nieces and nephews: Joey (Gina) Courts, Michelle Ramby, Brian Gore, and Chris Ramby; and many other family and friends.
Linda was a devoted Christian her entire life. She grew up at East 4th Street Church of God where she sang in the youth choir and later went on to sing in multiple groups and trios. She loved to teach youth and teen classes about the word of God. Throughout the years she carried many significant roles in the church. She played the organ and was the first woman Sunday school superintendent at Butler Township Church of God. Her love of making a difference in young lives carried on into her career of driving a school bus for 37 years at Northmont City Schools, where she received many safety awards . However, her most important role was taking care of her son and grandchildren. She was an inspiration, our super hero, and our guiding light. Our lives would not have been as wonderful without her in it.
A visitation will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 12:30pm to 1:30pm at the Newcomer North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. A funeral service will immediately follow at 1:30pm officiated by Mrs. Odell Howell. Linda will be laid to rest at Woodland Cemetery, Dayton.
