Linda Marie Gau

GAU, Linda Marie, age 58 of Dayton, passed away on October 17, 2018. She was born at Wright Patterson Air Force Base on February 2, 1960 to the late Charles and Carolyn Gau. Linda had a kind and loving heart and never knew a stranger. She could light up a room with her smile and her contagious laugh . Linda loved to talk on the phone to her loved ones. She was a caring, compassionate, and kind mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Stacey Lynn Barnes.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory, children Amy (Chris) Thomason and David (Monica) Barnes; sisters, Judith (Jesse) Johnson, Diana Long, and Marsha Gau; brothers, David Gau and Kenny (Lisa) Gau; granddaughter, Korie Brooke; and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 at Newcomer North Chapel at 1pm. Family will greet friends and loved ones for two hours prior (11am - 1pm). Pastor Steve Wagner to officiate. Burial will follow at Fairfield Cemetery in Fairborn, OH.
