Linda Ann Farquhar, 63, of Huber Heights, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, November 28, 2013 at her home. She was born on November 6, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to John and Joyce (Hansen) Nohacs of Vandalia, Ohio.
Linda graduated from DePauw University with a Bachelor's Degree in Music. She was one of the first women members of the Air Force's Singing Sergeants. Linda was a member of the District Chapter #109 Colored Pencil Society. Later in life she returned to the Dayton area to serve as a care giver for her mother.
She was preceded in death by her Husband, Lieutenant Commander John H. Farquhar of the US Navy; Father, John Nohacs; Brother, John Nohacs.
Linda is survived by her loving Mother, Joyce Nohacs; Brother, Stephen (Barbara) Nohacs; Nephews, Johnathan and Benjamin Nohacs; Step-Children, Jennifer Greenlee and Heather Farquhar; three Step-Grandchildren, Grace Greenlee, Zachery Farquhar, and Matthew Farquhar-Lemma.
Funeral services will be held at 6 PM, Friday, December 6, 2013 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton, Ohio 45424. Burial at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
