Lillie Mae Wright

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Lillie. She was a shining example of grace and compassion. In her 93 years, Lillie witnessed many changes in the world, but her love for family, friends, and God remained constant. She was the last of her generation, she will have a legacy of kindness, and generosity.

Lillie had an innate ability to make everyone feel valued and loved. Her bright smile and warm heart made the world a brighter, more welcoming place. To be in her presence was to feel God’s love in action.

While we will all miss Lillie dearly, we take comfort in knowing that she is now at peace, resting in the loving arms of our Heavenly Father. Her faith and love will continue to inspire and guide us, and though we mourn her passing, we celebrate the fact that she is now in the presence of God, where there is no more pain or sorrow. We find solace in the thought that one day, we will be reunited with her in Heaven.

Lillie is preceded in death by her husband, Gary Wright; parents, Jonathan and Niza Booth and siblings, William Booth, Hazel Edgington, Ginger Barber, Florence Terry and Rebecca Harmon.

She is survived by her children, Dennis Wright, Teresa (David) Howard; grandchildren, Michael Howard, Kelly (Nicholas) Marsala; great-grandchildren, Andrew Howard, Nathan Marsala and special niece, Debra (David) Newport; along with many other family members and friends.

Family will receive guests from 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. on Monday, April 14, 2025 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd. A memorial service will begin at 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home. John "Butch" Barber to officiate.
