Lila Wertz, of Moraine, OH passed away in the presence of her family on Tuesday June 19, 2012.
She is preceded in death by her parents, John and Mollie Jones; son, James Mike Wertz; brothers, Elbert Jones, Pearl Jones, Skelton Jones, and Floyd Jones; sisters, Edith Griffie, Lucy Noble, and Nancy Ann Sandlin; son-in-law, Jim Bertorello; and grandson, Scott Oliver Wertz.
Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James Wertz; daughters, Kathy Bertorello, Vicky (Terry) Day, and Debbie (Jim) Hyatt; grandchildren, Tim (Jamie) Day, Travis Day, Jeff Switzer, Zach (Kasie) Wertz, Kyle Wertz, Danielle (Allen) Hyatt, and Nikki Hyatt; great grandchildren, Kylie Day, Gabriel and Hunter Wertz; sisters, Pet Hull and Ruby (Noah) Stephens; and sister-in-laws, Mardell Jones and Rosie Wertz.
Her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren were the love of her life and she has numerous nieces & nephews, family members, friends, & church family. She will be missed by all that she touched.
Visitation is Friday June 22, 2012 from 10am to 12pm with funeral service starting at 12pm at the South Dayton Baptist Church, 2351 Rand Ave., Moraine, OH 45439.
Pastor Steve Thornhill is officiating.
Interment is in Miami Valley Memory Gardens, Centerville, OH.
Donations may be made to the church in her honor.
Arrangements are by the Newcomer Funeral Home(South Chapel), Kettering, OH.
