Lou DeMoss
Age 79, of Harrison Twp., passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2007, at his home.
Lou is survived by his wife of the past 61 years, Ezell DeMoss; three children, Nelson C. & Diana DeMoss, Keyna M. & Steve Powell and Lewis F. DeMoss; five grandchildren, Nelson L. & Missi DeMoss, Brian DeMoss & his fiancée', Karen, Sean Powell & his fiancée', Danielle, Ashley Misch and Michael DeMoss; five great grandchildren, Shelby, Kylee & Jacob DeMoss, Alanna & Skylar DeMoss; two sisters, Phyllis & Charlie Mantie and Terry & Andy Feeser; special friend & sister-in-law, Bertha (& her husband, Herbert) Javery; and by many special nieces, nephews and many good friends, including his cousin, Bill & Roberta DeMoss and his cousin, Victoria & Don Harris.
Lou was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church for over 50 years; and a member of the V. F. W. and American Legion Post # 613. During the Korean Conflict Lou served in both the U. S. Army & U. S. Navy. He retired from ITT as a teacher specializing in HVAC and domestic refrigeration.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., Monday, at Newcomer Funeral Home & Crematory, 4104 Needmore Road, Dayton. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Rev. Fr. William O'Donnell at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, at Precious Blood Catholic Church at Salem Ave & Denlinger Rd. Interment will follow at Dayton National Cemetery at 1:00 p.m. with full military honors.
