Lew passed away unexpectedly on October 28, 2020.
He is survived by his wife, Julie, grand-daughter Valerie, great grandson Matthew and daughter-in-law April Combs Adkins. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Helen Hensley, brother Danny Hensley and sons Matthew (2003) and Kurt (2015). Lew is also survived by extended family Ginny Himes, Jean Patty, Bill and Susan Himes, Mary McClay and Jonathan Betz, Patti and Tony Stevens as well as numerous nephews, nieces and great nephews and great nieces and special friends Bob and Elaine Freese.
He was retired from Cox Enterprises (Dayton Daily News) and Ohio Printing. He loved to golf, canoe and hike.
Lew's wish was to be cremated.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
