Levern Christian

LeVern "Lee" Christian, age 81, of Trotwood, passed away October 18, 2023. He was born December 11, 1941 in Knox County, KY to the late Adam and Mary Christian. In addition to his parents, Lee was preceded in death by his son, Ricky Lee Christian; daughter, Barbara Ann Christian; brothers and sisters: Charles Christian, Leroy Christian, Effie Howard, Della Queen, Pauline P. Pool, Hiram Christian, and 3 infants.

Lee is survived by his wife of 59 years, Jo Christian; daughter, Brenda Vanderpool (Doug); son, Michael Christian; 6 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lee was a hard working coal miner and a jack of all trades. He was always helping those in need, loved to travel and hunt, was a jokester and enjoyed playing BINGO and slot machines. Most of all, Lee was a selfless and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

Visitation will be held from 3-5 pm on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Newcomer Funeral Home, North Chapel, 4104 Needmore Road, where the funeral service will begin at 5:00 pm.
