Lester Purvis, Jr.

PURVIS JR., Lester age 37 of Huber Heights, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2005. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Willie Head and Willard Purvis, his cousins Jerry Wayne Head and Richard Eldon Lai. He is survived by his wife of 1 1/2 years, Mickelle, his parents Lester Sr. and Patsey Purvis, his children Elizabeth Jo Purvis, Zachary Christopher Purvis, Dustin Michael Mullins, Jessie Nikole Carnes and Alexis Nichole Purvis; grandmothers Dorothy Head and Fredia Purvis; brother Jesse and wife Ellen Purvis and sister Joyce Ann Purvis; nieces Paige and Summer Purvis; nephews Andrew Purvis, Brandon and Chris Homer; special aunts Flossie Head, Wanda Lai, and Bernice Boatwright; special uncle Jerry Wayne Head; special friends Mike Lybrandt and Rich Armstrong; and a host of other relatives and friends. Lester was a 1987 graduate of Wayne High School. He owned and operated Purvis Wall Covering. He enjoyed spending time rock climbing, caving, white water rafting, playing pool and shooting darts. He played in a league sponsored by Taylorsville Tavern. Funeral services will be 7:00 pm Saturday, April 9, 2005 at Newcomer Funeral Home 4104 Needmore Road. Family will receive friends from 4:00 pm until time of service.
