McINTOSH, Lester age 81, of Germantown, Ohio passed away Friday, December 24, 2004 at Sycamore Hospital, Miamisburg, Ohio. Lester was born in Houston, Kentucky on October 9, 1923 the son of Simon and Regina McIntosh. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 390th AAA Air Warning BN (Special). He retired from General Motors (Frigidaire/Harrison Radiator) in June 1977 with 30 years of service. He was a charter member of the Miamisburg Wesleyan Methodist Church where he served as Sunday School Superintendent for many years. For the last 30 years he was a member of the Franklin Wesleyan Methodist Church where he was a faithful servant of the Lord serving as Sunday School Superintendent, Trustee, Franklin Wesleyan Academy School Board Member, Usher, and as a volunteer whenever there was a need. He was preceded in death, by his brothers, Dillard McIntosh and Wayne McIntosh; by his sisters, Edna Riley and Nettie Barnes; by his step-son, William Francis Bobbitt. He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Dortha Frances McIntosh; his sons, David (Carol) McIntosh of Kalkaska, MI; Larry (Jeanne) McIntosh of Germantown, OH; and Bobby Joe (Mitzi) McIntosh of Moraine, OH; two brothers, Arthur McIntosh of Miamisburg, OH and Columbus (Chuck) McIntosh of Booneville, KY; seven grandchildren, Marla (Marty) Rogers, Regina (Duane) Thomas, Julie (Mike) Southard, Nathan (Sarah) McIntosh, Ashley McIntosh, Jon McIntosh, and Sara McIntosh; eight great-grandchildren, Jessica Rogers, Tricia Rogers, Rebekah Rogers, Samuel Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Seth Thomas, Simon Thomas, and Kaitlin Southard; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Viewing will be held Tuesday, 5-8:00 PM, at Newcomer-Farley Funeral Home, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering, OH. Funeral services 10:00 AM, Wednesday. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. David Strawn will officiate.
