Leslie "Woody" Woodrow, age 79, of Huber Heights, passed away on March 17, 2022. He was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, on June 8, 1942, the son of the late Darrell and Julia Woodrow.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Carolyn Woodrow; and his brothers, Darrell Eugene, Marvin Dean and Richard Woodrow.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Kelly (Pete) Cindric and Marcy (Tim Kiser) Woodrow; grandchildren, Kiera Lynn (Daekon) Meza, Kristina (Aaron) Joy, Kayla Cindric, Kerrigan Cindric, Liam Cindric, Adeline Dickey, and Madison Dickey; great-granddaughters, Amelia Rowe Joy and "one on the way"; his brother, Ronald Woodrow; dear friends, Chuck and Lorene Nelson; and many other loving relatives and dear friends.
He served his country proudly by serving in the United States Army, during the Vietnam War. During his time in the Army he was posted as Security Personnel at a Nuclear Power Plant and also taught other soldiers Missile Technology. Woody retired from Ford Motor Company after 35 years of employment. In his free time, he enjoyed collecting/working on classic cars, attending car shows and Cruise-Ins, listening to music, traveling and finding new places to eat. Woody was a truly generous soul and was always there for those in need. He touched many lives with his generosity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Woody's Life will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 1:00pm, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5750 Shull Road, Huber Heights, OH.
