Gilbert, Leslie W., age 75, of Miamisburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014. Leslie was born March 16, 1939 in Englewood, New Jersey to the late Leslie & Madge Elma (Starrett) Gilbert. Leslie was a United States Army Veteran and a long time Minister in the Church of God of Prophecy.
Leslie is survived by his wife of 54 years: Patricia; son: Leslie W. Gilbert Jr.; sister: Linda Shanower; and brother: Jerry Mellinger.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 24, 2014 at Newcomer Funeral Home – South Chapel, 3940 Kettering Blvd., Kettering. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday afternoon from 3:00 P.M. until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Church of God of Prophecy, c/o Virginia Daws, 105 Cary Dr., Springboro, Ohio 45066 or the charity of one's choice in memory of Les.
