COOPER Jr., Leslie R. "Rocky", age 82, of Dayton, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008. He was born August 21, 1925 in Dayton, OH. Leslie was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Navy. He retired from WPAFB after 30 years and MTC. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the Masonic Lodge and Shriners. He is survived by his wife, Beryl "Ruth" E. Cooper; two daughter's, Amy (Doug) Meeks, Eudora R. Berry (Tom Schiff); three son's, Joel W. Cooper(Colleen Miracle), Theodore S. Cooper, and David A. Cooper; 9 grandchildren, Karah (Dawson), Blake (Laci), Brett, Teddy, Lindsey, Lauren (Vanni), Whitney, Sydney, and Joel; 7 great-grandchildren, Tristan, Austin, Harrisen, Anna, Jolie, Anderson, Luca; two sisters, Janet (Tom) Vacchiano of Florida, Donna (Dave) Brockman of Arizona; one brother, Gene (Jan) Thomas of Colorado; one sister-in-law, Pat Thomas of Dayton; many other family and friends. He was prececeded in death by his father, Leslie R. Cooper, Sr.; his mother, Ethel (Katulak) (Cooper) Thomas; one brother, Jack Thomas; cousin, George Bayless. Visitation will be held Friday, May 9, 2008 from 5-8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home Beavercreek Chapel where funeral services will be held Saturday, May 10, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton. If desired, donations may be made to the Shriners Childrens Hospital.
