Leska Marene Winegarner, age 90 of Dayton, passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023 peacefully at home. She was born February 4, 1933 in Keokee, Virginia the daughter of the late Howard and Esther Mae Fleenor.
Marene was a loving mother and caregiver to her husband for 20 years, after he was given 6 months to live. She survived raising 3 ornery boys. Marene spent the last few years of her life resting at home comfortably, where it was her wish to be.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd A. Winegarner; siblings, little Howard, Pauline Spence, Howard Fleenor, Zelma Bobroski & Eddie Fleenor and daughter-in-law, Gale A. Winegarner.
Marene is survived by her three sons, Lloyd M. Winegarner, Kenneth W. Winegarner & Robert A. Winegarner; 8 grandchildren, Julie, Samantha, Jessica, Alex, Nick, Katlin, Gabriella & Eli and siblings, Pat, Sam, Charles & Brenda.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 31, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with a service at 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (3380 Dayton-Xenia Road, Beavercreek, Ohio 45432). Marene will be laid to rest at Valley View Memorial Gardens following the service.
